PLANNING SUB-COMMITTEE REPORT MARCH 2017
CONSULTATIONS SINCE LAST MEETING
The Society has received 4 new notices of consultation from GBC Planning Department since the last meeting; also 2 consultations on the detailed plans for the erection of industrial units at Daedalus.
We have also commented on a couple of applications for the removal of trees. However, we have now had it clarified that there is no point in us commenting on TREE applications unless the tree is already protected by a TPO – or we consider that it should be considered for a TPO.
Full list attached.
MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS UNDER CONSULTATION
• The traffic/road plan for this part of the site was approved at the Regulatory Board on 1 March
• Detailed plans for two industrial units have been submitted
• No other new information
• Brian is trying to arrange a visit for the Society
• No new info. We understand from the liaison meeting with GBC that they have raised several queries on the details submitted by the developers and are waiting for responses
THE SLAUGHTER HOUSE (ROYAL CLARENCE YARD): CHANGE OF USE
The Planning Inspector decided to grant the appeal, overruling the LPA, and allow the Change of Use so that it can be sold to a local Church for development as a Church plus café & meeting rooms.
PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED APPLICATIONS: PLANNING DECISIONS
Notes on any of the more important applications considered by the Regulatory Board. Uncontroversial decisions are often decided by the Planning Department under their delegated powers. Those are not recorded here unless the decision was notable for another reason.
