MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS UNDER CONSULTATION
A raft of documents looking to discharge many of the conditions set in the Outline Permission for this site. These include the following elements which might be of concern to the Society:
Demolition of buildings 67. 70/71 and 154 (not previously scheduled for demolition but it appears that GBC Planning & Conservation have agreed these demolitions in principle)
Tree protection measures
DAEDALUS (SOLENT AIRPORT): IFA2 (FAREHAM LPA)
Brian Mansbridge presented a deputation on behalf of the Gosport Society at the Fareham Regulatory Board (Planning Committee) 24 Jan opposing IFA2 being sited in Daedalus. Unfortunately the application was approved by 7 to 2. Caroline Dinenage MP, the Residents Associations and Gosport Councillors have all applied to “call in the decision” for the Secretary of State to Review.
THE SLAUGHTER HOUSE (ROYAL CLARENCE YARD): CHANGE OF USE
No news to report apart from an indication that the Inspector may have visited the site mid Jan. Decision expected shortly.
PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED APPLICATIONS: PLANNING DECISIONS
Notes on any of the more important applications considered by the Regulatory Board. Uncontroversial decisions are often decided by the Planning Department under their delegated powers. Those are not recorded here unless the decision was notable for another reason.
18 January 2017 Regulatory Board
Gosport High Street Hotel: Approved subject to conditions.
Cordite Building No 2, Britannia Way: External Alterations and roof extension: Refused mostly due to the impact on the SINC.
